Here's one Chick-boy I will never hate or despise.
Along the streets of Jupiter in Makati city lies the newest crush ng bayan in town - Chick-boy: Chicken and Baboy. Move over Mang Inasal... the new kid on the block is here!
I've only been to Chick-boy twice and in that two visit, the place was always full. It was not easy to get a table.
It is not the typical restaurant you see along Jupiter Street. This is a pay-as-you-order type of fast food restaurant where P100 can go a long way. Include the unlimited rice and it will surely fill your hungry tummies.
Chick-boy boasts of it's succulent Cebu lechon. It taste different from our typical metro manila lechon baboy. Instead of giving us the liver base lechon sauce they gave us spiced vinegar, the way the Cebuanos eat their lechon baboy. Their siding (atchara) was also to come back for.
Their servings are even bigger than I expected. With the amount I paid, I was expecting the servings to be a little smaller. But I was happy to be proven wrong. My friend and I were so full that we had food left-over to take home.
I didn't get to taste if their chicken inasal is better than the front runners, but I will surely never get tired of their cebu lechon baboy.
This is surely one Chick-boy I love.
It serves delicious meals aside from other diners in the street.
ReplyDeleteTsk2.this restaurant is just overly hyped and definitely overrated. ate at chic-boy at 2 different instances and definitely not worth coming back.d food was nothing special.the place was too chaotic and beers and liquors were everywhere. not worth raving about...
ReplyDeleteHay nako. ang mga comments nyo puro paninira sa chic-boy. Look at Chic-boy’s website under REVIEWS, halos lahat ng blogs dun tinitira nila. I know these people, mga taga Mang Inasal sila. Nasasaktan na kasi si MI. By the way, I work for MI too. I just don’t like their strategy na siraan ang competition. I’m always telling them to spend time thinking on how to improve our food and not waste our time thinking paano siraan ang Chic-Boy.
